Sharing the Lithuanian Language and Culture with the World

This cultural and educational non-profit initiative is devoted to promoting the Lithuanian language and the heritage of Lithuania around the world. Founded on the belief that language is the key to understanding identity, history and human connection, we offer high-quality resources to everyone who wishes to master Lithuanian or reconnect with Lithuanian cultural roots. Our passionate team of Lithuanian language educators, writers and content creators combines academic rigour with practical teaching experience and a deep knowledge of the language. We develop clear and engaging materials that help learners understand Lithuanian grammar, expand their vocabulary and build confidence through meaningful real-world content.

We are proud to offer a carefully structured Lithuanian Language Course that integrates Grammar, Vocabulary, Cultural Insights, Audio Podcasts and Practice Exercises. This course is the result of years of dedication and feedback from learners around the world. It reflects not only our educational method but also our mission to present Lithuanian as a vibrant, living and evolving language. Our aim is to guide you through its richness step by step, making your learning journey both enjoyable and inspiring.

Beyond language teaching, we want you to understand the events, debates and developments shaping Lithuania today. Through our News section, you can go beyond traditional language-course materials and explore the wider political, economic, social and cultural context of the country. This can help you prepare for travel, study, work or life in Lithuania by developing a deep understanding of the country, not just the words of its language.

We are continuously expanding and improving our teaching materials, and we are sincerely grateful for the support and enthusiasm we receive from learners around the world. Your feedback helps guide our vision and sustain our growth.

Ačiū for being part of our journey!

TADAS

Tadas is a marketing professional from Druskininkai, one of Lithuania’s best-known spa towns, surrounded by forests, rivers and lakes. After completing his degree, he worked with major Lithuanian media organisations, initially creating social media content and later focusing on international audiences and multilingual communication. He currently contributes to the site’s News section and supports the web marketing department.

Outside work, Tadas loves spending time outdoors and is especially passionate about kayaking, which he enjoys on Lithuania’s rivers and lakes whenever he has the opportunity. His connection with nature and life in Druskininkai has given him a strong appreciation for Lithuania’s landscapes, regional traditions and everyday culture.

He is also passionate about languages, international communication and travel, and enjoys discovering how different cultures express themselves through language, media and local traditions.

GABIJA

With a sharp eye for engagement and a deep love for all things Lithuanian, Gabija is one of the cultural strategists behind our mission. Originally from Vilnius, she has a background in digital communication and international outreach, including experience supporting initiatives connected with Lithuania’s representation abroad. She now helps shape the way we present Lithuanian language and culture to learners around the world.

Passionate about Lithuania’s evolving identity, Gabija aims to showcase not only the country’s best-known traditions and cultural landmarks, but also the emerging voices, artists and creative movements that are shaping modern Lithuania today.

When she is not visiting museums, exhibitions or cultural events, she enjoys exploring Vilnius, discovering new cafés and spending time in the city’s parks and historic neighbourhoods.

Gabija recommends immersing yourself in Lithuanian culture while learning the language. In her view, combining grammar and vocabulary with music, art, history, news and everyday life is one of the best ways to achieve real progress and develop a deeper understanding of this beautiful and distinctive language.

SAULIUS

After earning his degree in Linguistics and Literature, Saulius spent several years teaching Lithuanian to international students and developing lessons for language-learning platforms. Originally from Kaunas, he combines a strong academic background with a practical understanding of the way Lithuanian is actually spoken in everyday life.

As the lead language content developer on our team, Saulius aims to combine academic accuracy with natural, contemporary Lithuanian. His goal is to make even the more complex aspects of Lithuanian grammar accessible while introducing learners to the vocabulary, expressions and sentence structures they are likely to hear from native speakers.

On weekends, Saulius enjoys cycling with his friends along Lithuania’s picturesque roads, exploring small towns, forests, lakes and the countryside surrounding Kaunas.

EGLE AND MARIUS

Eglė and Marius work together on our Podcast and multimedia sections, coordinating voiceovers, audio and video production with a shared passion for making Lithuanian feel more natural and approachable.

Eglė, from Palanga, previously worked with international companies on Lithuanian localisation. She loves the way language reflects culture and everyday life, and she wants learners to discover the warmth, humour and character behind Lithuanian words.

Marius, from Vilnius, brings his interest in digital media and storytelling to the project, helping transform lessons into engaging audio and video experiences.

As a couple, they enjoy sharing their different perspectives on Lithuania—from life by the Baltic coast to the energy of Vilnius—and hope their work helps learners feel a little closer to the country with every lesson.

TOMAS

Born in the United States to a family with Lithuanian roots, Tomas grew up hearing only fragments of Lithuanian from his grandparents, who came from Panevėžys. He did not speak the language as a child, but what began as curiosity about his family background eventually became a deep passion for Lithuania, its culture and its language. That connection later inspired him to relocate and make Lithuania part of his everyday life.

Today, Tomas leads our localisation team, helping expand Lithuanian lessons in English and other languages. Having learned Lithuanian later in life himself, he understands exactly where learners tend to struggle and brings that personal perspective into his work.

His advice is simple: keep going, especially at the beginning—the more Lithuanian you learn, the easier and more rewarding it becomes.

In his free time, Tomas enjoys watching American football, films and cooking.
